Our Woodshop Has Been Busy
Our Club operates a large woodworking shop. Several volunteer woodworkers donate many hours to working in the woodshop. They made 3000 wooden toys last year that were passed out to needy children in central Indiana at Christmas time.
Our woodshop has found a new location just north of Grand Park in Westfield. We are working to make the building ready to move into, and we hope to have all of our equipment moved in early in 2018.
Riley Hospital Establishes Autism Diagnostic Centers Around the State
The Indiana Kiwanis Clubs have supported Riley Children’s Hospital since it opened. The latest project that we have done is to provide money to establish nine Autism Diagnostic Centers Around the State. This project is nearly completed. Now, families around the state don’t have to travel to Indianapolis to have their child examined by a doctor with the knowledge to determine whether autism is a problem.
